Have you heard of Delta 8 THC?

You know, it’s the relatively new cannabinoid that’s somewhat similar to Delta 9 THC, just not as intense.

In fact, some studies suggest Delta 8 may be more therapeutic than Delta 9, but more studies are needed to confirm this theory.

However, there is something interesting going on with Delta 8 users, especially those on the Delta 8 Reddit.

It seems a lot of them feel a little more frisky in the bedroom after consuming Delta 8 THC. Coincidence? Maybe… But they may be on to something.

Now, it’s no secret that the internet is teeming with claims regarding sudden sexual improvements in the bedroom from certain cannabinoids.

And as it turns out, there are a few promising studies and even more promising testimonials that have both scientists and doctors reconsidering the cannabis plant for its effects on intimacy.

So, let’s take a look at…

Cannabis & Sex

While there aren’t a ton of studies regarding cannabinoids and sex, specifically increasing libido or addressing hormonal imbalances and Erectile Dysfunction, there are a few.

Effects of Consuming Marijuana Before Sex

First, let’s take a look at a 2017 study that explored whether “marijuana use before sex affected the sexual experience, by how much, and which domains of sexual function were affected.”

In this study there were 289 respondents, of which 96 actually used marijuana before sex. Here’s what’s interesting…

62 of the 96 respondents that used marijuana reported that their sexual experience was much more pleasurable, while only 10 believed it didn’t do anything and 23 of the respondents had no idea.

What’s more, 56 of the respondents believed that marijuana actually increased their sex drive and 49 reported a more pleasurable orgasm. 24 people weren't sure if they felt any different, while 17 reported absolutely no change.

The study continues with other percentages of which people had more or less vaginal lubrication and felt less pain, of which marijuana users ranked higher in both categories.

So, what does this study show?

Results: Those who used marijuana prior to sex “reported a better overall sexual experience, an increase in sex drive, a more pleasurable orgasm and decrease in pain.” And guess what? No sexual difficulties or side effects were reported from marijuana use.

Sex & Marijuana Effects for Women

Another study that involved 373 participants explored the relationship between marijuana and sexual function in women. Only 127 actually used marijuana, all of which reported a significant increase in their sex drive, an improvement in orgasm, and less sexual pain. However, there were no changes in their lubrication.

Amazingly, this study showed that women who used marijuana before sex had 95% higher odds of satisfactory orgasms than women who didn’t use marijuana.

Results: Again, this study showed that marijuana appears to improve sexual experiences, especially in women.

Marijuana Use & Sexual Frequency

There is one other study we’d like to address…. It involved over 28,000 women and close to 23,000 men. Researchers were curious to see if there was a link between marijuana and sexual frequency.

Results: There is a positive association between marijuana and sexual frequency in both men and women.

The Endocannabinoid System, Cannabinoids & Sex

Now, there are other studies that explore how other cannabinoids can help decrease anxiety, depression, and other physiological and emotional disorders, which have been shown to disrupt sexual libido and even cause Erectile Dysfunction. However, more studies are needed to confirm this.

That said, we think there’s a pretty huge case for cannabinoids and sex. And it’s largely because of our Endocannabinoid System.

This system, which is made up of receptors cells found all throughout our body, including our reproductive organs, is known to promote balance in our body.

And as luck would have it, our sexual functionalities are greatly affected and influenced by this system and our own endogenous cannabinoids. Pretty cool, right?

This may explain why so many people feel more frisky, or even experience better sexual pleasure from cannabinoids.

But what does this mean for Delta 8 and sex?

Delta 8 & Sex

There are currently no studies regarding Delta 8 THC and sex. But there are a lot of personal stories and testimonials regarding this subject.

In fact, a lot of them can be found on Reddit and other discussion forums. And needless to say, many Delta 8 users have experienced the same or similar sexual friskiness in their own bedroom.

Here’s the thing…

We all know that THC heightens our senses. In some cases, it can heighten your senses a little too much. For example, Delta 9 THC, especially too much of it, is sometimes associated with unwanted paranoid and anxious thoughts.

Delta 8, on the other hand, has been shown to be much more subtle than Delta 9, in the sense that it doesn’t cause that paranoid or anxious feeling. But it still heightens your sense at just the right level.

That said, we’re not saying that Delta 8 can and will increase your sexual libido or make sex more pleasurable. There’s just not enough scientific or medical evidence out there to make those claims.

However, from the promising studies listed above and the trend circulating on Reddit, we believe that everyone should be given the option to try Delta 8 THC for themselves so they can see how it works for them.

Which brings us to the…

Best Delta 8 Products for Sex

Now, we’ve seen a lot of shady Delta 8 brands come and go in this highly lucrative industry. Which is why we want to bring awareness to the importance of only purchasing from reputable Delta 8 THC brands.

And trust us, they can be hard to come by, which is why we want to help.

You see, we’ve been in the industry since Delta 8 first hit the market, so we’re well aware of what makes a Delta 8 brand reputable. And since we’re on a very touchy and private subject like sex, it’s imperative that the Delta 8 brand you purchase from is looking out for you own best interest.

That said, if you’re considering trying Delta 8 for sex, here’s some products worth trying:

  1. 3Chi - Best gummies & edibles
  2. Delta Extrax - Best vapes
  3. D8 Seltzer – Best drinks

At the top of our list, and many others, is 3Chi, the company that started the Delta 8 craze!

Here’s the thing… 3Chi was the first trailblazing company to introduce America to Delta 8’s therapeutic effects. And they did so with credibility.

One of the many reasons we love 3Chi so much is because they have incredibly high standards. They don’t mess around when it comes to sourcing, extracting, formulating, third party testing, and marketing their Delta 8 products.

3Chi has a large selection of Delta 8 products, perhaps the largest we’ve seen. But it’s their Delta 8 gummies that we’d like to focus on when it comes to what happens in the bedroom.

First of all, these Delta 8 gummies are packed with 25mg of Delta 8 THC. They're both vegan and gluten free and come in two delicious flavors: watermelon and black raspberry.

Secondly, this product has received close to a thousand 5-star reviews, most of which touch on calming the body, relieving aches and pains, and even addressing the urge to get it on.

That said, we recommend you take the gummy 45 minutes before intercourse. Start slow, and give the Delta 8 gummies plenty of time to kick in. There are plenty of other things you can do in the meantime (hint, hint).

Note: It’s easy to overeat 3Chi’s Delta 8 gummies, they’re just that good. So, be sure to follow the dosing instructions on the package.

What you see labeled on their products is what you’ll get. What’s more, the efficacy of their products are so astounding that they’ve remained the number one Delta 8 brand in the industry.

Next on our list is a brand that has dedicated their time and attention to the many analogs of THC, especially Delta 8.

Similar to 3Chi, Delta Extrax, formerly known as Delta Effex, not only has a rich history in cannabinoid research. But they too have some of the most stringent standards when it comes to sourcing, testing, and formulating their Delta 8 products.

They believe in total transparency, which is why they remain one of the most trusted Delta 8 brands on the market today. Not to mention, they believe in educating their customers when it comes to all things THC. In other words, they’re doing their part in destigmatizing what the cannabis plant has to offer. Kudos to them!

Delta Extrax also offers a wide selection of Delta 8 products. But we want to highlight their Delta 8 vapes.

Now here’s the thing about Delta 8 vapes… They’re strong and fast acting!

Delta Extrax offers several different Delta 8 carts, so you can pick your favorite flavors and strains.

They even offer Delta 8 disposable vape pens.

And we’ve gotta hand it to them on their Delta 8 vapes. Each vape has over 50 positive 5-star reviews—some of which address feeling calm, relaxed, less pain, and in the mood for pleasure.

Now be forewarned, Delta Extrax Delta 8 vapes are fast acting, so the effect can be felt almost instantly.

That said, if you’re looking to incorporate Delta 8 in the bedroom, vapes work great because of how quickly the effect set in and how easy it is to re-dose. If you’re thinking of choosing Delta 8 vapes as your product, we highly recommend giving Delta Extrax Delta 8 vapes a try!

Last but not least, we have a Delta 8 brand that decided to take a whole new approach for consuming Delta 8 THC. Introducing… Delta 8 Seltzer, or D8 Seltzer.

D8 Seltzer was started by a group of close friends who not only had a passion for hemp but also loved Seltzer beverages. So they decided to combine the two. Today, they’re one of the leading Delta 8 seltzer brands in the nation.

The point of Delta 8 Seltzer is to bring people together using therapeutic cannabinoids like Delta 8, and to increase awareness of the health benefits of hemp-derived cannabinoids.

Drinking seltzer infused with Delta 8 is a genius idea, especially when you have 3 delicious flavors to choose from: Lime, Mango, and Berry.

The best part is each can is pre-dosed with 20mg of Delta 8 THC.

Much like 3Chi’s Delta 8 gummies, Delta 8 Seltzer beverages are tasty and a fun treat to bring into the bedroom.

But again, this is a consumable product. It will take about 45 minutes before you start to feel the effects. So give it plenty of time to kick in before you and your partner make love.

Remember to start slow with one can, and don’t overdo it.

Delta 8 FAQs

Now that you have a few Delta 8 products and brands to choose from for your sexual needs, we’ve decided to answer a few popular question about Delta 8 and sex below.

Since Delta 8 naturally occurs within the cannabis plant, we feel every woman should have the option to give it a try in the bedroom.

Delta 8 & Sex: Final Thoughts

We understand that there are no studies exploring how Delta 8 may help with sex. But we do know that Delta 8 THC is an incredibly therapeutic cannabinoid.

In fact, the National Cancer Institute refers to Delta 8 as “an analogue of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), with potential antiemetic, anxiolytic, appetite-stimulating, analgesic, and neuroprotective activities.”

Since Delta 8 is much more subtle than Delta 9, it may be worth giving Delta 8 a try, especially if you’re curious to see how it will work for you in the bedroom.

That said, we recommend you only purchase high quality Delta 8 products from reputable brands like the ones mentioned above.
