Have you tried CBD edibles before? You should.

The market is filled with options, and there are many benefits to choosing edibles over other methods of consuming CBD.

Let’s take a look into why edibles can be better than vaping CBD or using CBD oil.

1. Discretion

CBD is a new health trend, and many still lack an understanding of how it works. If someone sees you using CBD oil, they might assume you are doing something illicit, or that the substance will impair your thinking in some way. It won’t — CBD offers no risk of intoxication, the worst it can do is make you drowsy.

Still, there are times when you’ll want to avoid questions and be discreet. For that, CBD edibles can be very useful

Many edibles — like CBD gummies, lollipops, jellybeans, and chocolate — are stable at room temperature and easy to carry around. You also can eat them in front of people without raising any questions. It’s convenient to use when you are at work or visiting a relative. That’s without mentioning products that look like pharmaceuticals, like CBD gel capsules and CBD pills, which still technically count as edibles.

There are ways to be discreet using other methods. You can use CBD oil in the bathroom for some privacy, and while you can’t hide that you are vaping, people won’t be able to tell that you are vaping CBD. The smoke doesn’t look or smell any different. Still, when it comes to discretion, edibles are the best option available.

2. Dosing

Edibles are relatively easy to dose on the fly. It’s much easier to eat half a gummy bear than to get half a puff out of a vape pen, or fiddle with a dropper to get the exact amount of CBD oil you want.

This is convenient if you want to control your dosage while walking or running. Especially if you decide to try drinking CBD using infused beverages or water. However, if you are using CBD as part of an ongoing medical treatment, your doctor will probably recommend that you stick with CBD oil. That helps you control the dosage more precisely.

3. Duration

One of the biggest benefits of CBD edibles is the duration of the effects. Edibles can easily last six hours or longer, while other methods usually wear out in three hours or less. Edibles can last that long because it takes a long time for your liver to process CBD, and throughout that process you keep getting more CBD into your bloodstream.

4. Cooking

One of the advantages of edibles is that they are easy to make yourself. If you have CBD oil, tinctures, or isolates in your home, there’s nothing stopping you from making your own edibles right now. Making CBD chocolate, for example, is as easy as melting the chocolate and mixing the CBD into it.

Cooking your edibles lets you have fun with the process and the flavors, but it also gives you more control over the final product. You can decide whether to go with isolates or full-spectrum products. On top of that, making your own will likely be cheaper than buying edibles at a store.
